Lavanya, a student of Sri Venu Vidyalayam School, was part of our Tech Her Forward program in 2024. A sincere and studious learner, she was always regular to sessions and deeply focused on her dream to become a doctor.
Through Tech Her Forward, she was introduced to STEM in a hands-on and engaging way. One of the most memorable moments for her was being introduced to computers for the very first time. What she had only known in theory suddenly became real. She felt excited, curious, and eager to explore something completely new.
Beyond technical skills, Lavanya also greatly valued the part of ‘understanding self’ in our curriculum. The sessions helped her understand herself better — her strengths, her aspirations, and her potential. It gave her the confidence to see that her dream was not distant, but possible.
Today, Lavanya is pursuing her 12th grade with Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry — building a strong academic foundation aligned with her goal of entering the medical field.
Her journey reflects the power of early exposure. When young girls are given access to STEM, self-discovery, and the right encouragement, dreams begin to feel achievable.
For Lavanya, Tech Her Forward was not just a program. It was a step closer to becoming Dr. Lavanya.
